This might make a neat wall hanger. Barrel is marked imported by Henry Hyman 96 Main Street, Richmond, VA. Lockplates are marked James Webley London.
Seller says circa 1870, but I've found references to Hyman at that address as early as the 1850s selling jewelry, watches, percussion caps, powder flasks, etc., so Hyman was certainly established well before 1870.
Could the James Webley London marking make the seller think 1870s?
