An acquaintance of mine asked to scratch up a horn he made. He wanted me to have at it and use my imagination. The horn truly wasn't scrim quality and didn't cut very well, it was hard and some cuts flaked due to its brittlenes. It came out okay. This is the beginning
This is the completed version
I hope he likes it

Nice horn, the colors came out really nicely IMO. I'd carry that!

Staining can really do a lot for a horn - even a two tone variety like you were working with here. The stain you did made a big transformation. So much prefer color over mottled or Snow White horns. It adds a lot, and helps blend the shades.
