.. the rest of the rifle is as pretty as the butt... owner is a member here... I will insist that he post all photos,.. is a great old plain hog rifle....(piktur just because I wanted to,...) ..... regards, CCF ...

I like it too. I have a very plain rifle that is similar, with no buttplate, same shape. I also like the little "circled stars" stampings. I have that on several of my southern guns.
