Bridger Mountain Men trail walk
« on: December 27, 2023, 10:55:22 AM »
Had a low turn out.
I was scheduled for something else and some others did not like the weather. My conflict disappeared but too late to make the match.

Dennis was the winner with the better tie breaker, Wes was second.

Bruce and Mike dead centered the Blue Grouse, which is fairly small. Wes and Dennis got edge hits.
Wes did well on the long targets but missed the 35 yard Caribou.

This will be the last for the winter as the road is slow enough in the summer and worse if its wet or snowy. Trail walk gets pretty deap too. So we use the back site with a better road and and less walking.

Wes on an Elk

Dennis on on of the long shots

Wes shot the match with his summer mocs and the foot warmer seems to be popular.

List of targets. For the 5x5 Elk “Dean target” the steel is about 2/3 covered by tree trunks. Long shots are 100 yards or a little more. Never checked them. Its a fun match for anyone Between Livingston and somewhere West of Butte. Its not that far from I-90.

We do. But I had a previous commitiment and of course that fell through due to gusts to 50 mph. East slope of the Rockies stuff….

We shoot almost every month. Unless fire danger is to high or something else comes up. Land owner had covid and we skipped month because of that.

Thanks. I've shot with Wes a few times at Big Whiskey, he always shoots good.
