Picked this up yesterday, it came out of Massachusetts. .610 belled bore25" barrel, 38 3/4 o/a. Built by R T Colton, 1989.
Anyone ever hear of him?
Thanks

Hi,
Rich is a very good friend and I admire his work greatly.  There is no one who knows more about 17th, 18th, and 19th century New England firearms than Rich.  He was the senior historian at Springfield Arsenal National Historical Park.  He provided several historical component sets that TRS copied for late 17th and early 18th century guns in North America.  In my opinion, Rich is one of the best makers of historical guns in the NE US.  His creations adorn Old Sturbridge Village and National Park Service museums associated with "Battle Road", Lexington, and Concord.  Though largely unsung, many prominent gunsmiths of historical arms know who he is. You are very lucky to own one of his guns. Treasure it.
