W. M. LARGE Barrel and D.S. FRAZER Lock
« on: October 27, 2023, 01:02:13 AM »
Just received this .40 Lehighish longrifle.  Really nice wood, but it was the Large barrel I was looking for.  The inside of the lock is stamped D.S. FRAZER. I couldn't find any info on the Contemporary Longrifles Association Artisans page. Do any of you know more about D.S. Frazer?

Buy yourself a new top jaw screw.  Yours is a simple machine screw with what appears to be a 1/4" x 20 tpi.

Bill Large barrels are hard to outshoot.  I built a rifle using a Large barrel and a fellow in Missouri or Mississippi bought it. He reported back that the first shoot he took it to, he finished in 1st place overall.
