What type of rifle does this patch box go on? The two rifles on the bottom.

My first impression was Emmitsburg, (Maryland) PA., ala John Armstrong.

Yes I would agree as well with those makers. To my understanding Peter White was from the Emmitsburg area as well, and he also worked in Bedford Pa as a gunsmith for a while, which may be the influence or the inspiration of these type boxes in the Bedford area.

If you look at the stock architecture and the locks on both guns you can see that they are Bedford rifles. I would say that they look a lot like Peter White rifles.

Don King Bedfords.
This box would work on an Armstrong I think.
John Armstrong used a somewhat similar box and Don used this Armstrong box on this “Armstrong” which was just below the Bedfords.
