We're planning to do a video today.  If you have anything you'd like to have us talk about or show, let us know.

Thanks,
Jim

A quicky would be turning the initial angle then finishing a really smooth muzzle crown on the lathe.

Jim,
Thanks for all that you do!
I have a Kibler SMR in .40 caliber, and like it a lot.
I am a complete beginner with flintlocks, so I am not sure about how to place the flint in the cock jaw in relation to the frizzen.
Could you cover that?
Will say that I have shot the rifle about 15 to 20 shots and have not had a failure to fire, and the lock still has the flint that it came with in the cock.

I'd like to see a generalized video of your machines making the various parts - locks, stock, etc.  Don't need specifics, as that might compromise the processes.

Really enjoy all of your videos.

How did\do you determine the best angle of the cock in relationship to the distance of the hammer from the frizzen....knowing the frizzen has a given angle? (Or you can cast the frizzen's in whatever angle you want)

Thanks everyone.  We just finished filming a video which answered some of these questions, but not all of them because we ran out of time.  Hopefully we'll continue tomorrow with more.   It will take Katherine a few days to a week to get things edited and posted on Youtube, but it will be coming.

Maybe discuss and show some options for finishing, compare and contrast:

Jax (or other ) brass black to rust bluing
Browning leaving as red, or converting the rust to black
Difference look of high polished rust bluing vs rough, allowed to pit browning/converting to black

I'm just considering all this now, and I'm sure lots of newbies are....

oops...for next time...didn't see you were finished with this episode.

I think it would be a hoot to see you and maybe Katherine, maybe Bree and others of your team shooting some Kibler rifles l.
Not sure if you have a company picnic or anything, but that could be a nice setting for some recreational target or novelty shooting. 🙂
