WTB services of a tailor
« on: November 04, 2024, 06:24:46 PM »
I am looking for a tailor or seamstress or whatever to make a F&I era set of breeches, weskit, and frock coat of wool fabric I have in hand. Machine sewn is ok. Depending on quality of work I could pay around $400-$600. I’m aware some get $800 to make a frock coat with all visible seams hand sewn. That’s out of my range. Long term this is what I want for some re-enacting - a civilian suit of clothes suitable for say a preacher or merchant.

I wonder if Jas Townsend and son would sew it.  They have plenty of experience.

My sister is making breeches for me.  She's an excellent seamstress.   PM if you're interested.
If it was easy, everyone would do it.
