Southern Mountain Rifle by Vernon Davis, Douglas Barrel, Ron Long Lock, 40 Cal

Southern Mountain Rifle marked V C Davis (Vernon) 20.  15/16" x 38" barrel with a 1:60 rate of twist.  Bright bore.  40 caliber G. R.  Douglas barrel.  53 5/8" overall length, 13 1/8" length of trigger pull, 2 3/4" drop at the heel.  Ron Long of Denver lock.  9 lb 4 oz.  Adjustable rear sight.   Curly maple stock must have been stained with Aqua Fortis, as it has that greenish aged hue.  $1800 plus actual shipping.   Personal check or money orders only.
