Last month I was watching a couple of online auctions and bookmarked two modern Hawken-style pistols. As often happens when I bid on two similar items in hopes of winning one, I won both.
Both look like they were made following Track of the Wolf plans. One is unmarked, but the nicer of the two is marked "No. 46" (under the barrel) and "Kalispell, MT" and has the initials "DA" nicely stamped on a flat of the patent breech. It also has some interesting construction details.
Is anyone familiar with a Montana builder with matching initials?
