  I'm asembling a southern mountain rifle for a friend of mine and have all the parts on the stock. The trigger gaurd bow looks to big in depth from trigger plate to bow in my humble opinoin. How much clearance do you usually have from the tip of trigger to the trigger bow. It just looks to bulky it is the correct style as per track's catalouge. I like them pretty tight to the triggers, at least I think they look better than when they are too large.  I just looked at a couple of pics and I'm seeing about 1/8 to 3/16 space between end of front trigger and the bow.  Take a look at the pics of Birdog6 Tennessee rifle on the next page in this forum.  There is a good closeup of the triggers and guard.

It just looks to bulky it is the correct style as per track's catalouge........

Most cast hardware IS too bulky. File it thin, and taper the edges down almost to knife edge, or better, a butterknife edge.
