I have the above listed rifle for sale. I assembled it. It has the newer 44" barrel. It has larger sights installed, the smaller ones will come with it. I fired this rifle about 10 times, it seems to shoot a little low and to the left, I have not made any sight adjustments. Finished with aqua fortis and tried and true oil.
Reason for selling.... My eyes just can't do the iron sight thing to my satisfaction anymore. I'm done with it.
Blemishes... after opening up the pin holes in the lugs, I did not like how loose they were, so I redrilled them, and filled the old holes in the stock. A couple missed strikes with the punch on one of the barrel pin holes, and finally a blemish on the forestock near the front sight. Other than that, no problems whatsoever. An honest hunting rifle.
This rifle will come with 50 french amber flints, a Lee .36 cal ball mold and a hand made ball bag.
$1500 shipped in the box it came in to the lower 48.
