Mid 1700’s Holster Pistol Parts Set
« on: June 07, 2025, 04:49:31 PM »
Up for your consideration is a set of parts to build a high end mid-1700’s holster pistol.  Included in the set is an octagon to round Damascus barrel profiled by Ed Rayl.  The .50 caliber smooth bore barrel has a breech diameter of 1” across the flats tapering and flaring to ¾” at the muzzle.  Overall barrel length is 9 1/16”, not including the hooked breech and tang.  The sterling silver furniture in the style of Moses Brent was cast by Jerry Huddleston.  To the best of my knowledge, Jerry only cast 3 sets.  He built one pistol, a close friend of mine built a second pistol and I own the 3rd set.  I doubt that you will see another set in sterling silver.  The lock castings came from The Rifle Shoppe.  These castings are of the higher end sliding safety lock.  I obtained the English Walnut stock blank from Jim Kibler many years ago.  What you see in the photos is what you get.  I will be happy to answer any questions you might have.  Asking $1700.00.
Thanks for looking.  R/David
