Bill SHipman's W. PA rifle

Bill,
Beautiful work!  I love the engraving on the lock.  Simple, yet elegant.  You'll need to do a tutorial on how you pour those patchboxes into the wood.  That inletting it tight as a tick.

I agree.  That is one beautiful rifle.  David Morton is one of my favorite builders.  Now Bill Shipman is one also.  Beautiful coloring on the rifle.  I saw a Jud Brennan version of this rifle a couple of years ago and this is rifle is also dead on.  Great work.

Wow, that is very nice. Do you know where he is located? Does he build for others?

Only two problems with that gun Bill.
1.  The hinge can't work couse there is only one barrel for the pin to go through, not 3 or 5  :o :o
2. the carving and edges are so sharp you'd have to wear gloves to shoot it or you;d get bloody hands  :'(

 ;) ;)   ;D ;D ;D

Mr. Shipman, that is one beautiful rifle. It is very seldom do we see Western PA. rifles being copied.  Western PA patch boxes for the most part look extremely involved and your work is just wonderful.  Kettering, Morton, Fleeger and Mr. Bill Shipman, wow what a bunch.

Tim, there's 5 knuckles. I rarely get it that good though I try. I didn't post this. I wonder who did, though I'm glad they did. Maybe the owner?

Mr. Shipman,  another fantastic rifle.  I am in awe of your work.  I stood in front of your table at the CLA show and wanted to introduce myself and meet you.   You were engaged in conversation with another fellow and I wandered off and somehow never made it back by.  The CLA show can be overwhelming and somehow time seems to get away fast.
