« on: September 23, 2025, 02:41:30 AM »
Take a look on You tube at a 3 part series re a lecture given by Wallace Gusler dated Sept 13, 2025.  I learn a lot every time I hear him speak. He's an absolute fountain of knowledge on just about anything 18th C    My computer skills aren't up to posting a link, but I can assure everyone that it's 'worth watching ! :)

I think it starts with this one. Have a look. If that's not it, let me know.

This is the second time that I have attended this lecture, and I have learned something each time I was there. From a Virginia collectors' point of view, Wallace's knowledge on these rifles can't be surpassed.

This is, no doubt, the most informative and best presentation on the Gunsmiths of Virginia ever—a ton of information. Thanks for posting.

To the student of the Virginia Longrifle, the value in this presentation is priceless. I am glad they put this on YouTube, as I can watch it on my big screen TV. Thanks again for posting.

WOW!  What a great and infornative lecture.  Have watched parts 1 and 2 and tried to soak up as much info as this old brain can handle.  Looking forward to watching the rest tonight.  This will NOT be a one-time viewing.
My thanks to Wallace and the folks who created the video.

Mr. Gusler certainly is a wealth of knowledge on Rifles from Virginia. All three videos are extremely informative, and are worthy of repeated viewing to absorb all of that information.

Wallace did another video on "Rifles of Botetourt County, Virginia" through the Historical Society of Western Virginia, several years ago. IMHO, this video is also, a must watch program for anyone interested in Virginia Rifles.

A search for "Wallace Gusler" on YouTube will turn up several shorter, informative, videos some of members of the forum might like to view.
