Bucks Co. Rifle Completed LEFT HANDED!!!
« on: February 05, 2010, 06:33:31 AM »
Yes this one is backwards and made for a left handed customer up in the New England area.  I wasn't going to post these but I sent them to a couple of ALR members and they had hoped I would share them with everyone.  Getz 44" .50cal swamped bbl. All the silver wire and inlays are pure silver cut from sheet stock.  The wire is 28ga if I remember right.  The Carving is a mix of low relief carving into some simple incised lines and scrolls with some wire added to give it a contemporary flair.  The lock was polished and cold browned then rubbed back.  I didn't make all the parts, but I did make the sideplate, trigger, entrypipe, nosecap, and patch box with correct springs and catches thanks to "Lucky RA" for giving me help with that.  The box release was not put under the toeplate for fear of wear and wood chipping over time so I put a small 1/16" brass"tit" sticking thru the bottom of the toe plate.  I forgot to take pictures of it inside but my customer will be sending it back to me for Dixon's and the CLA so you can see it there.
I have a few more pictures I took if anyone would like to see them just send me a pm.

Oh, I'm not that good at taking pictures either ;D

Thanks for looking, Rich

Left handed guns are NOT Backwards, its just that the rest of the world doesn't know how to hold a gun.  Nice rifle, should have a happy customer.

Rich,

I am on dial-up and get to see about 1/2 of each pic before it goes belly up.
The parts I see look super.
Well executed.

Sometimes on dial-up you can just click the refresh icon & it will load more of the photos.  (The lil 3/4 circle with the arrow tip at the top of the page) I used to have dialup & now have a Verizon Wireless Broadband card, MAN..... it is Awesome....... :o  Now I have internet just about anywhere I go with the laptop or at home on the CPU.
