I don't have alot to add that the others have not already said, but I really like the patch box and I like the overall level of finish on the rifle.

A little unusual too...a golden age-ish pb on a early wide butt rifle. But its just right when Bill does it!

Great rifle, beautifull work as always.   What I am really starting to notice every time I look at one of your rifles is the subtle antique finish you put on your guns....awesome!  I already expect and know the carving, architecture, inletting, etc.....will be perfect to a

Bill - I've always admired your other Virginia rifle on your website, and I like this one even better. 

What an outstanding rifle - enough traditional elements to give the feel of the time and place, and enough of Bill Shipman to make it one of a kind!
