20 bore fowler
« on: March 06, 2010, 05:37:23 PM »
I have built two Chamber's New England fowlers, and love them. I was thinking about a 20 bore and that of course brought me to the Penn. fowler. However, I have since discovered the Fusil that Davis is selling; including a 48 in barrel. Does anyone here have any experience with this "kit" ?  Building and shooting comments would be appreciated. Anyone know who makes the barrel?

The Davis Kit is not a bad build, but not as nice as a Chambers parts set,I had one a while ago, while not the lightest of Fusils, enjoyed it a bit,It shot well.As far as being PC .It is a good representation of an early to mid 1700's fusil. And their price on it is fair.
Just my 2 cents,Alex
