Tim......drill it like you would any other tang bolt. I can only assume you have one of those "pointed" things that bolt
to your drill press table, which allows you to drill from point to point. You said it was a standing breech, if so I would hook
it to the barrel and keep both in the stock while you drill and tap. I like to start the drill in the tang to insure a good hole
to put that point into, then turn it over and drill thru the trigger plate with my tap drill. I then turn it over and drill down
thru the tang until I connect with the hole thru the trigger plate. I then put in a clearance drill, I think I use a #14 for an
8x32 screw, and once again go down thru the tang until you hit the trigger plate, or real close to it. I will then do my
countersink in the tang to fit the bolt. After that, run the tap down thru the hole and tap the trigger plate....simple........
