Help identify the barrel maker

I was given a .50 cal. barrel that is 1 1/8" across the flats and 32 inches long.  It looks to have 5/8x18 breech threads.  In the middle of the barrel, on one of the flats are the letters GT.  Does anyone recognize the maker of this barrel.  I'm just curious.  The rifling looks great.  Thanks.

what configuration is the rifling?

It has square bottom rifling.  I'm just guessing that the barrel may be from the 70's or 80's.
