New Fowling Pouch
« on: March 26, 2010, 05:42:47 PM »
This is a fowling pouch I just finished last night. It's unique shape is based off of a Germanic engraving by Johann Ridinger (1698-1767) (Thanks Chris!). It is made of lightweight calf, roll welted, and colored with vinegroon. I sewed it with linen thread that I dyed to match the trim. I have incorporated a shell motif in the flap and side reinforcement tags along with a shelled buckle with iron tougue.

Thanks Jerry.
Actually the one in the drawing appears to be a large belt pouch and has netting on the front body.

James, nice job on the bag, especially like the shell motif and buckle.  Gary
