chunkgun shoot in Michigan
« on: July 14, 2010, 03:45:27 AM »
Greetings from the the great state of Michigan. July 24 th is the date for our next Over the Log Shoot near Alma Mi. which is about sixty miles north of Lansing. This is at Broken Lock Muzzleloading Gun Clubs range. There is plenty of camping spots but no electricty. The shoot is 15 one shot targets we pay back three places per target and there is  a quater side bet for the best "X" per relay if you want to get in. we stop about half way through for lunch which is put on by the club and is a free will offering. If you can't get down on the ground you may shoot from the bench . The cost is $20.00    ALSO on Sunday we have a woodswalk which is $5.00 plus a $10.00 value prize to be put on the blanket. Any questions call Eeric D. Lau 989-235-3724  or eclau01@centurylink.net

Eric,
Can't make your shoot but sure do like the fact you let some of us shoot from a bench. It seems like the ground is getting farther away every year!

I went to a shoot where they had a 4x8 sheet of plywood straped to some 30 gal. drums and a chunk on that, easier to get down to and keept the shooter off the muddy ground as it had rained alot. Didnt try it myself but those that did claimed no difference in there shooting.     Gary
