Here's one finished last month . Has a lighhouse top and sailor scrimshaw .
Thought I would get the opinions of the learned council here .

It's not as fragile as it appears . After roughing out the corner pieces I kind of "gave'em a good squeeze" . I figured if the break thats OK it would have become a rum horn or ? .

I think it looks great!  I love the creativity and out of the box thinking.  I still looks very period to me.
