Where can I find a California adjustable rear sight?
« on: April 18, 2010, 06:01:55 AM »
In the mid 1970s a California rifle builder, Andy Fautheree, designed an elevation and windage adjustable rear sight. He may have since moved to Colorado. I saw the sight listed in the 2002-2003 Track of the Wolf catalog, but currently only the inserts are listed in the on line catalog. Does anyone know where I might obtain one of these sights? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I ask this question several months ago to the forum.  I was not able to come up with a set.  I wish you better luck.

I ask this question several months ago to the forum.  I was not able to come up with a set.  I wish you better luck.  I know the originals were machined from solid billets.  Later sights were cast.  They were a sweet sight.  I had several sets of them mounted on my rifles back in my paper punching days.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
