Dang, E, I shoulda got a pic of you with Ed Rayle when you were showing him that rifle, and I watched some of Jan shooting it, but forgot to snap some.  It's a beauty for sure.

Thank you for your good words. When I was building it everyone wanted me to fancy it up but the older I get the more I lean to the old plain work horse guns. Now that it is done everyone loves it.

I traded two powder horns on this sight for it from Lew Westel (spelling)? A friend of mine found one at  friendship but can't remember the name of the man he got it from. He is going to find out at the next shoot and get some more. The plate on the one he found was iron mine is brass Jeff said there is no more brass plates.

I would love to know where he found them at Friendship. I'm there every year and haven't seen one. I would like to use one on a chunk rifle that I want to build

Jeff told me it was in a booth across the from the Log Cabin shop booth. Under the sheep shied on the national side hope that helps.

Hi Lew how you doing?
Jeff and I talked to Ian Prat at the Tennessee Kentucky rifle show last year he told us he got it from the guy at Friendship across from the Log cabin booth, don't know if he has any more but if he does Jeff is going to buy some at the next shoot. I hope he has some everyone likes them and wants one.

Ephraim...I typed in "Ephraim" on the blog and all that came up was images of a shooting bag.
