Bleaching/removing stains

I read somewhere awhile ago (years) on how to bleach out or clean up various stains from new stock while raising the grain.  In particular stains that look like inletting black (streaks)   Ignore them or ?  The stock will have my usual dark stain with reddish undertone and PP in the low spots and rubbed out in the wear spots......

Shoulda woulda coulda I guess but ended up using a filthy/cruddy rag!

Is it inletting black, or is it part of the natural grain?

There is a product called "Cleanwoode", which I think is largely acetone, that will clean your wood up pretty nicely. (if it is indeed dirt from your filthy mitts) If it is natural wood coloration, it won't touch it.

T
