Need recomendation for trade pistol hardware
« on: May 13, 2010, 02:14:18 AM »
I have a 20 ga. bbl. oct and round with a nice taper.  I have a Chambers Queen Ann lock and a nice piece of English walnut in route.  What trigger guard, butt cap and side plate would you folks recommend?  I am not totally sure if I want to use brass or steel.
Quality, schedule, price; Pick any two.

I would look at what Matt Denison has available from Northstar West and consult him.  He offers a trade pistol as well as a lot of variations to the NW Trade Gun.  Here is his link:  http://www.northstarwest.com/Default.aspx

Kris Altland, York county firelocks has a good seletion of pistol hardware. You migth be able to find what you want here: http://www.firelockpistols.com/catalog/bc.html

Another option is to make it yourself, if you know what you want. You can find tutorials on making pistol buttcaps and triggergards in the ALR tutorial section.

Best regards
