Here is a fine iron mounted longrifle with no specific or attributed gunsmith. Most notable is the very fine and extraordinary wrist repair! Perhaps someone has seen this repair and knows the repair craftsman's name.

The first comment suggested that this might be a Missouri gun. In showing my ignorance, what features would suggest Missouri for the origin of this piece?

Thanks and God bless

The rifle is .40 caliber and has no brass- guard and buttplate are iron.  It has a tag on it that says "Memphis w/bag". Was it converted from flintlock?
