anybody have pictures of half stock new england rifle

Well i started to scrounge around looking for the perfect picture of a new england half stock rifle.I now must have a halfstock but need to see how they really looked as i cannot find pictures of any.....thanks........sonny

Not when they are viewed side by side. Then differences both subtle and large will be noticed. But both rifles are fine pieces, and right now the New England rifles are seen less often than Hawkens.

This is from Rochester NY marked Moore. Probably 1840-50 have not researched it.
Barrel has been shortened at the breech and the patent breech replaced with a drum and nipple.

It would depend on the era I guess. I figured it was too late so only one photo.
This basic layout  was used by N. Lewis and others farther east in New York, Troy (Albany region) and perhaps as far east as Mass.
