Contemporary maker info?

(1/1)

DaveM:
I've come into possession of some contemporary high quality brass furniture that I may use to create a project gun sometime in the future.  A patchbox (very early dome lid and side opening Dickert style) and associated early style triggerguard and toe plate.  They are beautifully hand engraved in what appears to me to be appropriate Dickert style.  They are signed as follows:  C.D. Jr., "'78" so apparently were engraved as part of an incomplete project 32 yrs ago.

Does anyone know who may have been the maker / engraver of these pieces?  And whether castings were commercially done at that time or whether he may have made these pieces?  Thanks for any info - contemporary work is not familiar to me.
