It looks like a dandy to me , except it's backwards! I really like the looks of the ash. What does it weigh?

Great looking rifle.  I really like the wear plate under the forearm and the poured nose cap.  Thanks for posting the pictures.

Nice Roy!  Looks like you trimmed all the "fat" off of her!  I like the wear plate and the lock bolts with no washers or sideplate.

Nice looking rifle, great profile, I too  like the ware plate, nice touch. Even if it wasn't a "touch" it looks like it belongs.

Thanks everyone.  ;D  It was sort of a pain, but I really like how it turned out.  I don't get too many orders for Tenn. rifles..

Rich,
No I cheated on the gaurd, I picked it up from Dru Hedgecock at the CLA.  I added rivets to make it appear hand made... I did make the two piece buttplate though that was fun brazing together LOL.

Nice job Roy!  Very nice.  Dr.TimBoone is right on the money though.  I think it's from the N. GA school.  Dahlonega to be exact.  hahaha  The nose cap is awsome. Thanks for posting the pics.

A very cool looking rifle top to bottom. A great mix of the complex and simple. No sideplate (easy} yet wedges (hard). Nice styling. Really like it.  I've got a Bill Large barrel, .43 tapered 42 in. with a lollypop tang and a fantastic piece of curly ash, and some forged furnature I got from Ian Prat at the 2007 CLA show.  When I get the time....

Roy, that is a real nice rifle. great color, fit and finish, very graceful. Makes me want to try my hand at one. Good job.

Bill Shipman, I know you have a nice piece of ash. You bought it at Dixon's this year. And somehow squeezed it into your Z-3.

Roy.....nice looking little gun, I could live with that.   Shame you had to build it wrong.  We have a local hospital that could
cure you.   This local fellow went into the hospital with this strange affliction and they had to remove his whole left side,
but they say he is alright now.......Don

Bill,
I had a few different sideplates made for it, just didn't like the looks of them on the gun LOL.

Don,
I am a righty, but this is made for a lefty... Good thing I am dyslexic  ::) ::) ::)

I sighted this one in, and to be honest shooting a left handed gun for me is no big deal... even cheated and took it squirrel hunting for a few hours Saturday LOL.

Once again thanks everyone for the kind words. ;D

Dahlonega school huh?  ;D ;D
