New event of interest to builders
« on: September 09, 2008, 02:44:29 AM »
  Saturday September 27th and Sunday the 28th at the Log Cabin Shop in Lodi Ohio. Contemporary and antique muzzle loading firearms and all of the great things that go with them.  Demonstrations, shooting match and opportunities for first time shooters to join in, blacksmithing, barrel rifling, educational talks, dancing bears, just though I'd sneak that in because I always say it and wanted to make sure you all were paying attention, free admission, buy sell trade display come one come all, this is the first of what will likely become an annual event and you will be  able to look back and say " you know, I went to the first one of these way back, long before things got out of hand..."
   Saturday 8:30-6, Sunday 8:30-2, for further information contact the store at (330) 948 - 1082

It's kind of both, the pole cat and the woodchuck race each other and the loser gets roasted. Then if we're still hungry the winner gets roasted too.

Ian
I would like to attend, but I don't think that I will dance bear! I get too many funny looks when I do it in my own backyard, much less someone elses. Thanks for the opportunity tho!

   Win this here knife

 Fresh off the grill, this will be one of the prizes at the shooting match, grab your rifle gun and come on down. It will be cheap to shoot this weekend, they are waiving the normal range fee and charging only for targets.  Tim Crosby will be making a sheath to go with this, he promises to use the hide of a very old diseased cow to match the old diseased look of the knife

  And yes I'll sharpen it before the weekend

 They're shooting both days. Glad you will be there Marc, I'm sure you will bring some good stuff for people to see.  You may have to walk over to the range and shoot from the firing line, they tend to frown on us shooting from display tables. You'd think they'd give extra points for snaking one between a bunch of moving people.

Wonder why they won't ever let me be range officer

Ian;
Thanks to you, Jim and the staff of The Log Cabin.  I had a great time, looked at many wonderful guns and learned a few things in the process.  I trust this is just the start of a great tradition. There is a wealth of knowledge in the local area.
Thank You
