Heart Shaped Hunting Pouches

Everyone is showing off their heart shaped hunting pouches.  They are all very nice looking and somewhat unique for hunting pouches.  Heck, I have made two or three myself over the years.  However, there is an inherent problem with these pouches while in use.  Everything in the pouch tends to gravitate to the bottom "point" of the pouch.  Small items like loose balls fol to the very bottom with larger items on top of them.  This makes finding any particular item in the bag a problem.  With a "square" bottom pouch you can get individual contents to lay flat in one end or the other or in the middle of the bottom of the pouch making finding any particular item much easier.

true and I made the comment , the heart style bag locks contents in place
by funneling' everything center bottom.
Less noise n rattle while hunting.
Truthfully ... hunting from a pouch , you juss need one FAST shot and do your job
with the initial shot ...
ya kin take ya time if ya missed.

What if you are at a day long shoot and you have to load from the bag all day for several relays and many balls shot down range?  Not everybody on this site are just hunters.  If you only need one shot while hunting, why even carry a hunting pouch?  I will stand by my statement about a heart shaped bag being a pain.

Bags were/are made for carrying stuff. Some times days on end without ever firing a shot.

If you are shooting a match you need to have a bag designed differently than the historical bags were. Of course not all of the old bags were well designed either.

Sorry Randy ... you want a doo everything bag .
Heart shaped not the best choice.
Got one bag I made juss for shooting out of .
Has all kinds of pockets on the strap/divider n pockets galore inside.
Took me a week to stitch too.
Also with the standin on the line meat shoots ... I made up a small range box, that worked
real well. Traded it off and should not have. it were pretty

may I add a buddy of mine made up a powder horn with wide strap
has everything hangin on the strap to hunt with.
and uses just that for his 54'
