New HCH Website
« on: June 15, 2010, 08:18:30 PM »
Hi Folks:

This may not be the preferred location for this post, and if not, feel free to move it. Being related to accoutrements, I thought it might be appropriate.

The new Honourable Company of Horners website is up as of today! The link is:

http://www.hornguild.org/

Of course we still have much fine-tuning to do, and there will be many more new features and articles added in the future.

Many thanks to everyone who helped make this happen with all of their contributions. Thanks to Rick Sheets of blackpowder411.com who generously donated lots his time to put this whole thing together.

I invite you to take a look and see what you think. Comments of all kinds are always welcome. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks,

Jeff

Thanks guys, I am glad you all like it. I think it will be a great resource for horn artisans as it is expanded and developed.

Broke, to answer your question, "The Horn Book" is the guild's magazine, published three times a year for its members. For the past while it has been in full color, and expanded to 28 pages. It covers a lot of ground including historical features, profiles, horn working tips, event coverage, etc. Another great reason to join the guild!

Thanks again,

Jeff

Wild Willy is a close personal friend of mine. I love his work and spending time at events talking with him.
Can't wait until Dixon's!!!! First trip for me. Maybe I'll win that pouch and horn set. ;)
