Ian Pratt and I will be instructing a  three day class on longrifle stock carving.  This will be held at the Log Cabin Shop in Lodi, Ohio on July 9, 10 and 11.  A few spots are still available.  Details can be found by following this link:  http://www.logcabinshop.com/Classes.html.  If you have interest in being part of this, please contact the Log Cabin Shop at 1-800-837-1082 or email at: webmaster@logcabinshop.com.  If you have any questions concerning the class, feel free to contact Ian or myself.

Thanks,
Jim kibler

The Log Cabin shop is a neat place to have these classes, there is a side room with plenty of working space and more than enough work benches, and the store has a good selection of gun building tools, materials, books etc. We'll set up a couple tables in the adjoining museum room where we have our discussions and informal breaks. Last year we had a couple old rifles that we partially dismantled one afternoon, also spent some time on the last day demonstrating some of the dreaded stock aging techniques we use. It's fun, it's educational, and most importantly, all the cool kids are doing it. Here is a link to some comments and pictures from last year's class -
