Any members from the Kansas City area?
« on: June 29, 2010, 02:00:59 AM »
Who shoots over by KC?  I will likely be moving there in late August & am looking for a club/range.  Trying to plan ahead so I can live reasonalby near a place to shoot.

I know some guys that shoot by Topeka. Not real sure how close that is. However you could the Kansas muzzleloading association website(sorry I dont know the web address) and it lists the clubs.

Roger,
The following individual is the contact man for the area that you are interested in. I'm sure if you give him a shout, he'll be more than happy to help out. I hope this helps.

You can contact me anytime about it.  The club owns the property. Dues 50.00 a year. Pond to
fish in, shelter house. Camping free. electrial hookups.  Phil 816-436-7196 Part of our range

If you're moving to Kansas City, get in touch with the Gard brothers (bevel up & bevel down), write in Muzzle Blast every
month.   They also sponsor a chunk gun shoot toward the end of October every year............Don

Thanks guys!  Fort Osage looks like a great club & you can bet I'll be a new member if I make the move.  I'll be practicing at Children's Mercy downton.  Any good places to live out toward the range?  I'll be working at Children's Mercy.

Roger, I live about an hour SW of Phil 8 miles off I-35 on the KS side. Got a 100 yard range in the back yard behind the shop. Let me know when you get here.
