Everyone has a story to tell, including me.  They can only be judged comparatively by identifying the source of the "alleged truth."  Does the perspective emerge through observation, empirical evidence and application of scientific or statistical measures?  Or, otherwise, does it come from authority, tradition, revelation or wishful assumption?

Maybe 100 years from now someone will do a study on why some of us bought a Ford and others a Mercedes.  The latter is common in Morocco where all the taxis are that brand.  They refer to them as "German Camels."  All painted the same color...white.  But US consumers see them as a status symbol, so the pay extra for the bling.
