The new KRA Moravian Gunmakers book!
« on: July 11, 2010, 05:07:09 AM »
I just received mine a couple of days ago, and what a fine book it is!

All the photography, paper and binding is top quality, and the guns in it are some of the very best of the best!
Interestingly, and will no doubt amaze some here, there was no attempt to try to fool anyone that these fine rifles have pasted down through time without some warts and blemishes, and the restoration work that has been done to them is spelled out in the descriptions.

The first 46 pages are historical text and pics, I haven't had a chance to read it all, or even study all the pictures yet, but from what I've seen this is a must have book for those guys interested in the Moravian makers!

Many thanks to the guys that supplied the guns and to those that labored to produce the book!!!

John.....yes indeed, a great book.   Just got mine yesterday.  Since my back was acting up badly I could not make it to the
KRA show and I had Art DeCamp pick one up for me.   What an outstanding book.   The color photos of all those great guns is just terrific.   I have not read the forward narrative portion of the book except a few little parts, found a lot of interesting sections.   Even the front door lock of one of the building, now owned by Steve Hench.   I talked to Bob Lenenman who did a lot of the research, I know he spent a lot of time down there doing his research, and it sure brings to
light a lot about that early gunbuilding center...........Don
