I like it! Sure is one fine basic gets-the-job-done bag. Any strap adjustment, or is it what it is?

thanks a lot!  No adjustments on this one...guess you could tie a knot in it!  I was out of buckles.

I looked at the stitching as well, but didn't have time to comment.  Your stitching is definitely improving.  Well done.

P.S.  Also like the "U" shaped stitching on the straps to the back of the bag.  That is one way you don't  have to worry about the straps breaking across a horizontal stitch line that TC mentioned was so common on original bags.

David, definitely an improvement.  Great job!  Your stitching and line look much, much better and the use of lighter leather gives the whole project look more period.  It's your basic no nonesense hunting bag.
Now, what are your demensions?  Is that a divider in the bag or the top of an inside pocket?  I can't tell from the photos, but is the flap, back and front all one piece?

Also I notice that the leather has that 'lived in' look giving one the impression that it's an old hunting bag, but not abused.   ;)  Good job.

Yes the center piece is a full divider and also acts as the welt, and the back flap and front are one piece.

Thanks for the compliments guys.  I am working hard to get good! ;D
