Bill, we really appreciate you showing us this rifle.  It's work like yours that inspires us to make the attempt to climb up to another level.  You have chosen a worthy model, and nailed it.  Just a fabulous rendition...a joy to behold!

Yeah, do you do implants?  I have a couple that are better than the originals.  If they were not so expensive, I'd use them as bottle openers.  Once one gets over the initial distaste of having one's jawbone drilled and tapped, it is all downhill.  I've experienced more pain getting slapped in a night club.  Wayne

  Beautiful rifle Bill. That had to have been a tough one to copy.I've never seen a N.Hawk in color.Wow, was ole Nick an engraver! His signature and cartouch just jump out at ya! Bill, your work is exceptional,...as usual!  ;D

Sorry I'm late to the table. Been to Dixons and had to get ready for it. Great time as always. Thanks for all the kind words. To answer some questions, this was a bitch to build.Curt, the release button spring is inletted into the side of the box cavity with enough room to be depressed further to open the lid. Then a little turn is driven in the side. All the bends have to work so the button lies just at the surface of the buttplate.
The T. G. is no problem. Reeves Goering has  one fron Lancaster he calles a Casper Fordney or Dreppard that is almost identical except for details. The B.P. however has to be hogged out from a larger piece and took me a long weekend. An Armstrong will work. Believe it or not.
