11 Stitches Per Inch!?!

Bought an 11 stitch per inch overstitch wheel awhile back so I decided to use it on this bag...Even at this size it took FOREVER!!

Hand sewn at 11 stitches per inch with waxed linen thread by me, this little bag measures in at 5 3/4" wide by 6" tall with a strap that adjusts from 50" to 60" by means of a small belt and buckle; bag is sewn with a welt to increase the strength and durability; a small pocket is included on the back of the bag.

Dave, your fingers must have ached when you finished the bag. great job on the stitching.
when we were removing trash from a neighbors house an old tool box was given to me. in it was an 11 to the inch wheel. I tried in on a piece of scrap leather. was thinking of using in on a knife sheath, after a couple of inches at 11 to the inch I found 7 to the inch is about right for my fat old fingers.
I wish I could do that tight stitching.

I was thinking that the stitching didn't really look all that small, and then I saw that big hand in the last shot. Either that's a really small bag or your hand swoll up from all that stitching....Either way, impressive work.

No its not that big of a bag...I loved the pattern in T.C.'s book and had to try one from veg tan. 

But the cramps in the fingers finally subsided tho

Boy, even for a "day pouch" that's one wee bag. 

Congratulations on your fortitude for making it out ouf 11 stitches per inch stitches. 

I like the inspiration from the dawning sun on the flap.

11 per inch is a pain to be certain. They sure do look nice though. Great job on that one. It has a real character to it.
