Star stamps for marking barrels part 2.

I have done several attempts at making a star stamp 1/16" high out of drill rod. They all turned out ugly lopesided.
Ngraver can not supply star stamps.
Several firms have offered to custom make these stamps.The price for one stamp is 100-150$.
The best offer is from Henry Ever.corp (
http://www.henryaevers.com/
)
A 0.08"star stamp, suitable for marking steel barrel. (I specified the mark in barrel had to be at least 0.012" deep.)
If we order 5 stamps , 50$ a stamp + shipping.
Sofare I have got 2 orders. We need 3 more. If you are interested, please email me.
Best regards

Are you removing metal from the drill rod to create a positive star in making the stamp? I am wondering if you chiseled a negative star into a piece of steel then heated the drill rod up yellow hot and hammered it into the recess to create a positive stamp.

I've tried to file out the star with a triangular file. I don't think I'd have much more luck trying to chisel out a negative star 1/16" high and 1/32" deep. But thanks for tip.

Does not seem to be much interst for star stamps. If I don't get 3 more orders before 10Th. Aug, I'll email Evercorp, and tell them there wasn't enough takers for the deal.
