French lock

OK guys, I need a little help from those of you with better reference books than I have.  I acquired a French lock at Dixon's Fair that I believe is from the first half of the 18th century.  The name on the lock is "JEAN DV RIOS" and under that the town name "ASEDAN".  Any info you guys can share on this maker will be greatly appreciated.

ASEDAN  is "at" or "in" or "of" Sedan - site of the battle that ended the 2nd Empire in 1870.
The name, Jean duRios, doesn't appear to be in the original (1938) Stockel but I'll try the New Stockel in the office tomorrow.

Jim, Could it be  "Jean duBois"?   Lenk has that name listed in Sedan and Paris in and around the 1640's.
If it resembles that lock on the 'Swiss' gun then its probably too early.

That name could still turn up,the French of that period kept very good records of things.

I suggest a proper  St. Etienne or Tulle lock 1730'-40's
