Jim......when I first looked at the gun I thought it was great, then I looked at the carving behind the cheek piece.....sorry,
but it is laid out strange, the big "C" scroll winds all the way around toward the bottom of the cheek piece.  I know you
didn't copy an original in this area.  I hope you will forgive me for being honest, these are my own personal feelings,
albeit from an old f_____............Don

Hey Donny,
No problems..... I always take to heart what you have to offer up. You have always been a great friend & teacher.
Jim

P.S. I remember you got on me on the sights for this rifle. ........not my selection, but what the customer ordered.  :)

Jim.....I certainly hope I have not offended you.   I have the same problem with trying to be innovative in drawing carving
patterns on a stock, I just don't have it.   My brother Dick was great at it, as well as being a pretty darn good engraver.
My engraving stinks.   I love what Jim Kibler does, of all the gunbuilders working today, if I could do a gun in the white
and turn it over to someone to carve, it would be Jim.   In looking at your rifle,  I first thought it might have been built
from a Chambers kit, but I think the guard is from the Marshall rifle, and it looks good on this gun. ............Don

Jim.....I don't know if you go to the CLA show or not, it's a long trip.   It's too late for the offer this year, but you might
want to consider this invitation for next year.    We rent one of those big five seat vans, you know, like the Amish use,
and we have nine guy going this year.   We split the cost of the van and gas and it makes for a cheaper trip.  If you are
interested, let me know.   It's not only cheaper but we have a great time.  Mitch Yates from Long Island is going along
this year...Art DeCamp, Mark Wheland, John and I, and four others, can't remember who all is going.   Think about it...
