Starting a new thread to showcase Mr. Ron Long. This fine rifle is by Steve Davis. Many thanks to one of the members here for his pictures.

Re: taking lock pictures in your Hawken thread.
I have two castings of the lock on this gun. There is also a percussion plate in with the same batch, but it is cut for a drum. That probably confirms they are all Long's.

I think the RE Davis "Late Ketland" lock is formerly from Ron Long's castings. I've used several of them, and they are great little late English locks. Very fast action.
