I wouldn't be too surprised if he returned soon soon to have the barrel shortened.  Maybe you can put a quick disconnect takedown joint between the pipes so it can be folded over for storage and transportation.  That would also make it easier to clean as he could clean it in sections. Don't forget to make a two piece ramrod same length as the disconnected parts.   :D

Did you inlet that barrel?   That in itself was quite a job.  How many barrel pins?
