Sorry, I meant Dave Kanger (TOF). I thought I had quoted "TOF,   You and Fred would have gotten along well,  both opinionated,"

This thread has too many Daves'. Cody, which one are you refering to?
There is only one Dave.... and the mold was broken.  All the rest are cheap imitations who came later.

Fred and I are about the same age.  I am turning away more work than I am taking these days, but I just can't bear the thought of not building rifles anymore.

Fred has done many jobs for me over the years, and I was  always completely satisfied.

Like everyone else,  I hope that he will be at the shows just to chat.

I passed the word along to the ten or so guys I build with, Stovall, Kerchner, Sweet, etc, all were saddened to hear we can't get any more work out of Fred.  But I have the utmost respect for anybody who quits work to spend more time hunting, the only question is what took so long?!?!?!?!
