Blunt & Syms of New York
Probably from the late 1830s to mid - '40s, very different and obviously a special order set. Caliber is .52 smoothbore which is interesting considering they have set triggers. Barrel lengths are 7-1/2" and over lengths are 14". Furniture is German silver, bands are gold and silver, stocks are walnut and the case is rosewood. Locks are casehardened as are the tangs and the barrels are browned. The butts have large cap boxes in the butts.
Comments:
These are wonderful American made pistols built in a manner not unlike those of H. Deringer. I would suppose that his pistols would be greeted with some enthusiasm here.
