I finally put a handle on it

This is the first blade I attempted.  It is made from a Rail Spike from the Shortline Railroad. The handle is a piece of scrap maple. I purposely left the blade a little rough to add character.   Getting stir crazy waiting for the 27th.  I gotta keep busy, not working driving me crazy.

Rich, that is a very useful size and shape.  It should serve you well for the rest of your days.

Art is not an object.  It is the excitement inspired by the object.

if you would have used a spike from the "longline railroad", maybe you could have had a bigger knife.  ;)  looks like youre staying busy and very productive, too.   mark
